Homemade Paper
Here at Applewicks we make hand-made paper, gift tags, journals, and books. John is one of our core members, taking his turn at creating paper. Something new we are experimenting with is embedding flower seeds in our hand-made paper - an innovative gift for wedding guests or on other special occasions!

Bookmaking
We create journals and hand-made books from the paper that we make. Each one is unique: Our weaving is used for the binding and our hand-made paper for the cover. Many of our core members enjoy this one-on-one time with team member, Emily.

Homemade Chocolates - 2007
Each year we try to come up with a new way to celebrate birthdays.
This year, we made homemade chocolates! They will be part of the gift given to each member of Applewicks on his or her birthday. Here, Heather carefully fills one of the chocolate molds.

Scrapbooking
Many of our core members enjoy poring over photos and putting special pages together for Applewicks ongoing scrabook of memories.

Spinning
Here Christina learns to spin her own yarn for weaving. The spinning wheel she is using was created for her and donated to the workshop.

Sign Classes
We also have sign language class twice a week, taught by Liz, a L'Arche team member who is an expert in American Sign Language. We sometimes play games to help us remember new signs.
