Volunteering

We are always happy to welcome people who are interested in volunteering in our homes or programs. We will work with you to arrange a volunteer activity which suits your time schedule. We just ask that once you volunteer you try to keep your commitment as people look forward to your time with them. Volunteering offers you an opportunity to get to know some really great people and to make new friends. In our homes a volunteer might go out for a coffee with someone, help cook a meal, go swimming with someone, make crafts, the options are many

Our Day Programs, Applewicks, Cornerstone and Discoveries also enjoy welcoming volunteers.

All volunteers complete a volunteer application form and are required to complete a police check. Before being assigned to a particular home / program, we will meet with you to find out your interests and give you a brief orientation to L’Arche.
